Join us in the Empire State as we combine two of our favorite activities: great bike rides and local craft beer! Each day will offer a chance to sample a "taste" of upstate New York for riding and for sipping some of our favorite local brews! We ride the undiscovered and uncrowded roads of the "North Country" of upstate New York as we make our way to each of the local craft breweries. Join us for some bike and beer fun on this unique tour of the New York countryside and historic resorts.

Bike and Brew Tour – A North Country Sampler
Highlights:
• Cycle the beautiful and uncrowded roads of upstate New York

Details:
Terrain: Both rolling hills and flat valley bottoms on paved roads and bike paths. SAG van available at all times. This tour is suitable for intermediate as well as advanced riders.
Weather: Temperatures range from 80°F highs to 60°F lows during the tour.

• Bike Rental: $150 for hybrid bikes - $250 for road bikes.

Fort William Henry Resort: Poised at the head of Lake George and surrounded by the majestic Adirondack Mountains, Fort William Henry Resort offers guests an in-town location with a country estate atmosphere. Arrival and Departure: This tour will begin and end in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Day 1 - Saratoga Springs, NY - Saratoga Springs to Glens Falls
We meet at The Inn at Saratoga at 1pm. After a short bike fitting session, we ride out of the city through the beautiful farms and horse pasture surrounding Saratoga Springs and make our way to the shores of the Hudson River. We bike north along the shores of the river and connect with the Feeder Canal bike path that leads us to our lodgings in downtown Glens Falls at the Glens Falls Inn. That evening we enjoy dinner and sample the craft brews at Davidson Brothers Brewing Company.

Day 2 - Glens Falls to Lake George Village
First thing in the morning we continue north out of Glens Falls and catch the Warren County Bikeway as we make our way to Lake George Village. Once there, guests have a number of options. Cyclists can choose to take a Shoreline Cruise to Bolton Landing and cycle back to our lodgings in Lake George Village. Other options available include staying in Lake George Village for an afternoon shopping break, browsing the shops and boutiques, or doing some siteseeing (Fort William Henry is right next door). A spectacular view of the lake can always be enjoyed right from the front porch of our historic lodgings. That evening we dine and sample the brews at the Adirondack Brewery.

Day 3 - Lake George Village to Saratoga Springs
We turn south out of Lake George Village and follow the Hudson River to make our way to the rolling hills leading us back to Saratoga Springs. The uncroweded roads offer us ample opportunities to enjoy both the views along the river and the forest canopy embracing the roadways through the hills. Bikers will enjoy the long downhill stretch on the last miles of our journey; we coast into Saratoga Springs and head to our lodgings. We spend our last night dining and tasting the selection of brews at Druthers Brewing Company in Saratoga Springs.

Day 4 - Saratoga National Historical Park
Today we bike the Saratoga Battlefied located in the Saratoga National Historic Park; the park offers bikers a great ride on the private road that circles the interior of the park. The circle road connects the many historical landmarks associated with the battle that turned the tide of the revolutionary war and set the colonists on the path to victory. Afterwards we bike back to Saratoga Springs and the tour will officially end. Showers will be available for those wishing to change and freshen up before departing.
